 What Is An Infra-Red Sauna Blanket? I first started using an infrared sauna after my Spin classes in an upscale gym in my hometown of Riga, Latvia. Our Spin coach told us that after a session of intensive cardio that not only do you shed water as you sweat, but body fat as well. Awesome, right? Not only that, but according to the coach about an eighth, yes a full eight of the fluid lost is body fat. Then when you re-hydrate, you replace this with pure water, giving you a net benefit of 12.5%, just by relaxing in the sauna after your workout. What’s not to love about that? Then when the first lockdown hit in March of 2020, even that went out the window; no gym, no visits to my private sauna owning friend’s house, no sauna at all… But I was still longing to get the deep heat feeling that only a session in a sauna can give. That’s when I started researching solutions to get the experience of being in a sauna in my own home. I wouldn't be a trained Spa therapist if I didn't take a product like this and turn it into a custom treatment! Here's what I like to do to get that feeling of truly deep relaxation.
