Have you ever read a book that totally changed your way of thinking? For me ‘Super Human’ by Dave Asprey is one of those books. Frankly, I was blown away by what this author has to say about how to optimize my health.
One of the main takeaways that really hit me was the idea that ill-health isn’t inherited like some kind of bad karma, but rather, it is the result of our own choices in terms of what we choose to put into our bodies.
What Is Bio-Hacking? 
Bio-hacking sounds more complicated than it is, but according to Dave Asprey, it is as simple as training yourself to make healthier lifestyle choices. An easy example would be to eliminate just one thing from your diet altogether, fried food for example, or barbecues. Take out that one single thing and it will have a wide, positive systemic effect on your health.
Of course, being a millionaire guru, Dave can afford to take various expensive treatments, but there are plenty of things you can do as a normal 'non-millionaire' that can take you to optimal health without breaking the bank. 
Eight Low-Cost Bio-Hacks To Boost Your Health 
Being in the non-millionaire category, I decided to make a shortlist of easy ways to bio-hack my way to optimum health and here they are:
  1. Drink Green Tea every day
  2. Take high strength Vitamin C 
  3. Use blue light blocking glasses to help your body with circadian rhythms
  4. Eat meat only from grass-fed animals
  5. Switch from farmed to wild fish only
  6. Take charcoal 1h before eating anything else to flush out toxins
  7. Do ‘oil pulling’ with coconut oil first thing every morning
  8. Use only local Kerrygold grass-fed butter

Keto: The Ultimate Bio-Hack Diet 
Another easy way to supercharge your health is to reduce your carbohydrate intake to force your body into a state of ketosis. In this state, your metabolism will switch to burning stored fat as its primary source of energy.
Carbohydrates cause an insulin spike which takes you out of the fat-burning state, but by substituting carbs for healthy fats and fibre you can avoid this.
